Travel is more than just a ticket, a suitcase, and a destination. At its core, travel is about the human spirit's desire to explore, connect, and grow.
O'Hare (ORD) & Midway (MDW)
At Easy Travel KOH, we believe that every journey starts long before you reach your hotel or step onto a white-sand beach. It starts with the people who make the skies accessible and our terminals safe.
Right now, our gateways: O'Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW): are facing a quiet but significant challenge. As the government shutdown continues, the men and women of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) are showing up every single day to keep us moving, despite the uncertainty of their next paycheck.
Today, Kevin and the entire Easy Travel KOH team are launching the "Support our TSA" initiative. It's time for us to look beyond the gate and support the faces who keep Chicago flying.
If you've ever stood in the terminal at O'Hare, you know that unmistakable energy. It's a crossroads of the world. Whether you are heading off on one of our international flights or returning home from a long-awaited family reunion, the TSA agents are the constant. They are the first line of safety and the steady hand in the organized chaos of modern travel.
These aren't just officers in uniforms; they are our neighbors. They are parents balancing childcare, students working their way through school, and individuals who take immense pride in securing our freedom to move. When we talk about visionary travel, we aren't just talking about the views from a balcony in Santorini. We are talking about the integrity of the entire ecosystem that allows us to dream big and go far.
A government shutdown doesn't just halt administrative paperwork; it halts the financial stability of the families who keep our infrastructure alive. Imagine waking up, putting on your uniform, and heading into a high-stress environment like Midway during peak hours, all while wondering how you'll cover the rising cost of gas or fill the grocery cart this weekend.
At Easy Travel KOH, our mission is to create seamless, stress-free experiences. We spend our days helping people stop hoarding PTO and finally plan that vacation. But we cannot, in good conscience, watch the facilitators of those vacations struggle to meet their basic needs.
"Travel is a community. When one part of our community is under pressure, it's up to the rest of us to step in. These agents are doing their jobs for us: it's only right that we show up for them."
— Kevin
We are calling on our wonderful community of travelers, partners, and Chicago residents to join us in a direct-action campaign. We want to provide immediate, tangible relief to the agents at ORD and MDW.
We are collecting $20 gift cards to major grocery chains and gas stations. Why $20? Because it's a manageable amount that, when multiplied by a community of thousands, creates a massive wave of support. It covers a tank of gas to get to the shift. It covers a week's worth of milk, bread, and essentials for a family. It's a message that says, "We see you, and we appreciate you."
Drop off $20 grocery or gas gift cards at our Easy Travel KOH office. We'd love to see you, hear about your next travel dreams, and personally thank you for your generosity.
If you can't make it to the office, you can contribute via Zelle. Simply scan the QR code below to send your donation directly. We will use 95% of these funds to purchase gift cards in bulk to be distributed directly to the agents at O'Hare and Midway.

We have a contact at TSA. Kevin will be meeting up with him soon to distribute cards collected.
Every single card makes a difference. Whether you've recently booked one of our popular vacation packages or you're just a fan of the Chicago travel spirit, your contribution matters.
We often talk about travel as a way to expand our horizons. But expansion isn't just about distance; it's about the depth of our empathy. When we support the TSA agents at O'Hare and Midway, we are strengthening the very foundation of our industry.
When an agent feels supported by their community, that positive energy flows into the traveler experience. It makes the lines feel a little shorter and the process a little kinder. We are all connected in this web of movement. By taking care of the "Faces of O'Hare & Midway," we are ensuring that the spirit of travel remains vibrant and resilient, even in challenging times.
"I've walked through these terminals many times. I've seen the dedication these agents have, even on the busiest holiday weekends. Seeing them work through a shutdown without the certainty of a paycheck is something we can't ignore. This isn't about politics; it's about people. It's about making sure the person checking your boarding pass knows that Chicago has their back. Let's show them the same care they show us every day."
We know that many of you are currently looking at custom vacation package requests or dreaming of your next getaway. As you plan your future joy, we invite you to take a moment to provide a little peace of mind to someone else.
You might wonder why a travel agency is spearheading a relief effort for federal workers. The answer is simple: because we are visionary. We don't just see a booking; we see the journey. We see the family that finally gets to unplug on a digital detox vacation, and we see the security officer who makes sure that family gets to their destination safely.
Our brand is built on inspiration. We believe that the world is a better place when we travel, but we also believe the world is a better place when we act with kindness. This initiative is an extension of our core values. It's about being a leader in the travel space and a neighbor in the Chicago space.
The shutdown may be out of our control, but how we respond to it is entirely up to us. We have the power to turn a stressful period into a demonstration of community strength.
Imagine the impact of hundreds of $20 gift cards arriving at the TSA offices at Midway and O'Hare.
Imagine the relief a young officer feels when they realize they don't have to choose between gas for their car and dinner for their kids. That is the power of our community.
The "Support our TSA" initiative starts today. We will be collecting donations throughout the duration of the shutdown.
Let's ensure that the next time you walk through the gate at O'Hare or Midway, you do so knowing you helped the person on the other side.
Thank you for being a part of the Easy Travel KOH family and for helping us look beyond the gate.
